TASK I
History The Name of Jakarta
     Jakarta is the capital city of our country Indonesia. Jakarta has an area of ​​approximately 661.52 km² (oceans: 6977.5 km ²), with a population of 9,607,787 inhabitants (2010). Since the 14th century Jakarta undergone several name changes. 14th century called “Sunda Kelapa” in Jakarta, which is a port of the Kingdom of Padjadjaran. On June 22, 1527 Fatahillah rename Sunda Kalapa to “Jayakarta”. This date is now celebrated as the birth of the city.
     The Dutch came in the late 16th century and then master the Jayakarta. Royal Netherlands Jayakarta name changed into “Batavia”. Batavia name is derived from the name Batavieren, Europeans who become fathers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. January 8, 1935 changed its name to “Stad Gemeente Batavia”. March 1942, Japan seized control of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in World War 2. Batavia was renamed Jakarta to “Toko Betsu Shi” by Japan. And, since September 1945 the city government named the National Government of “Jakarta” until now.

History of Daendels Road
     Herman Willem Daendels was a Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies 36th. He ruled between 1808-1811. At his tenure he built the highway in 1808 from Anyer to Panarukan including Bekasi. De Grote Postweg is the name for the historical road that runs across Java that connect Anyer and Panarukan. This road construction is a monumental project, but paid for with many violations of human rights because it is done by force without proper reward. 500 workers had died in Megamendung are nearby Buitenzorg (the present name of Bogor), excluding the number of people who died as the result of illness.
      The road through most of the Pantai Utara Jawa (Pantura Road). However the original post road is run through Preanger (Priangan, West Java) highland. From Meester Cornelis (Jatinegara) went south to Buitenzorg (Bogor), and went east Cianjur, Bandung, Sumedang and Cirebon. The current north coast road runs through coastal northern West Java which built later after the construction of Daendels’ post road. It connect Bekasi, Karawang, Pamanukan and Cirebon.

History of Catfish’ statue Into The Clock In Bekasi
     Almost all of State or City has an icon the form of sculptures, such as Merlion in Singapore, Statue Pancoran in Jakarta dll. Bekasi also has an icon statue which is named Catfish's Statue, statue it was shaped of catfish and fruit lute. This statue located in the the Bulan-Bulan, close to the station Bekasi. This statue is made at location which strategic for explain to people-people who probably do not know the location in Bekasi.
     Catfish and fruit lyres constitute main productivity in Bekasi, so that according to the Governor both are deserve be made as icon of City of Bekasi. However, because the character catfish who voracious and price fruit lute who cheap, society feel those icons less well so that they perform protest to the Governor. Because feel does not is no responses from the Regional Government, on 24 April 2002 partially society comes to Catfish's Statue and then burn the statue it. Finally on the year 2010, statue they are replaced into the Clock. Although Catfish's Statue has been changed into the Clock, but Catfish's Statue remains become history for the citizens of Bekasi.
